ED TRASK
State Director
Connecticut & Rhode Island
As a Connecticut native who has traveled around the United States, Ed Trask is eager to bring the hope of Jesus Christ into the lives of coaches and athletes in the Northeast Region. “It’s important to understand the people of New England if you want to bring them the good news of Jesus,” says Trask. “This is a largely unchurched area of America, and living here for the past 20 years has given me the opportunity to forge a lot of relationships and create the groundwork for deeper conversations about the Lord.”
With a successful 30 year career in high-level retail that included Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger, Trask brings decades of supervising, marketing, and communications experience to his role as FCA Connecticut State Director. Throughout the years, Trask has also traveled around the world for both work and missions, and is passionate about building new relationships with non-believers.
“Full-time ministry has been on my heart for a long time,” says Trask. “I know what it feels like to be successful in the eyes of the world but feel a deep loneliness and sad-ness in my heart. In the same way, so many coaches and athletes fall victim to filling their lives with winning rather than experiencing true peace that comes with knowing Christ. As I meet with board members, donors, and people in our community, I plan on communicating that there is much more to life than being successful, and that life really begins when you meet the Lord.”
Trask grew up in Old Saybrook, Connecticut and was a three sport athlete before deciding to focus on tennis. He played throughout his time at Palm Beach Atlantic University where he graduated with a degree in Business Management and Communications.
Trask has served five years on the Board of Deacons and Trustees at Harvest Time Church and is also a member of their Missions Committee. He lives in Stamford, Connecticut with his two daughters, Annie and Perrin.
