Bill Melvin has been involved with sports his entire life, including as a three-sport athlete at Manchester High School.

He has coached over 20 youth sports teams over the years, as well as middle and high school sports teams, and is a certified hockey referee and a certified baseball umpire and basketball referee. All of these experiences make him a natural fit for serving FCA to reach coaches and athletes for Christ in Essex County, MA.

After four years of service in the United States Army Military Police Corp, Melvin has spent the past 25 years in the business world in various capacities of sales and operations. He is currently Director of Gloucester Little League, which serves over 300 young baseball players, as well as Co-Director of the Cape Ann Girls Travel Basketball Program.

Melvin lives with his beautiful with Beth Anne and their three children, Marlee, Jackson and Ruby, all three whom are involved in athletics. He enjoys reading, writing, fishing, yard work and the occasional round of golf. Together they attend First Presbyterian Church North Shore in Ipswich, MA — and he does the best he can to follow a life led by our Savior, Jesus Christ!
